About Bayou Mulching and Habitat

The Story

Bayou Mulching and Habitat is the newly formed land division of Jeff's Lawn and Landscape, a central Louisiana company that has been serving customers since 2004. Forestry mulching joined the operation in 2015, and the work kept growing from there: land clearing, food plots, fire breaks, and the habitat projects that gave the new division its name.

The split into its own brand happened for a simple reason. Mowing a lawn and reclaiming forty overgrown acres are different trades, and the people calling for each deserve a company focused on their problem. Bayou Mulching and Habitat is the second one: the machines, the licenses, and the experience pointed entirely at land work.

Who We Work For

Most of our customers are landowners. Many are hunters and recreational-land owners who want their ground to hold more deer, open up for a food plot, or simply become walkable again. Others need a homesite opened, a fence line found, or a fire break cut around timber. The common thread is land that should be doing more than it is.

How We Work

Every project starts with a phone consultation and a site visit, with evening appointments available for working landowners. Smaller projects usually get a quote on the spot. Larger or more complex ones take a couple of days and come back with an estimated start date. On approval the job is scheduled, done, and walked with you at the end.
